Description
Katrina Inglis wants her audience to not just hang a piece of Art based on a Caribbean life of scenic beaches and coconut trees, but to understand every piece created and displayed has been produced from a personal, deeper feeling and intense emotions. The “sketchy” effect of this piece is done purposely to reflect the emotions and energy of the music. The Rhythm section is so much part of our music and she believes it is just as important as the Steelpan. During Panormana, the crowd enjoys themself witht the beats of the steelpan and the rhythms from these men beating iron and drums. It is a time of high energy amongst the people. Having taught myself oils, I enjoy being “free” with my brushstrokes, allowing feeling to guide the painting.
