Trinidad and Tobago’s diverse landscapes continue to provide inspiration for Laronde-Andrew whose work features lush greenery, flora, houses and a few new dramatic pieces that play on colour and light. This bit of change to her normal style of work was highly influenced by her two daughters who have constantly encouraged her with words such as “Mom, try something new.”
Never limiting herself to just her immediate environment for creative stimulus, Janine has also received critical acclaim for her work showcasing images, peoples and cultures from other countries. Janine’s tremendous versatility enables her to employ various media and styles in executing her craft. She is grateful for another year of achievement and for the unwavering support she receives from her husband and two daughters.
Janine’s exhibition opens on Tuesday 23rd June, 2015 from 7:00pm until 8:30pm at Horizons Art Gallery located at 37, Mucurapo Road, St. James. The exhibition will continue until July 4th during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays at the gallery.
