We got another early start to beat the forecast rains. The Botanic Gardens was as green as ever and the morning sunlight created a patchwork on the verdant grasses under the towering trees. Our group used one one of the picnic shelters as a base in the event of rain, which was on a hill with advantageous views all around. This allowed for everyone to find something of interest to work from. Artists came and went at different times but it was just after noon that the threat of heavy rain chased everyone. The never actually came with any might.
Several artists managed to complete beautiful paintings of scenes in and around the Botanic Gardens.
